Bicentennial Torch Relay Look Ahead: Day 4
INDIANAPOLIS (September 12, 2016) – The Torch Relay is the premier event of Indiana’s Bicentennial. A Visit Indiana Initiative, designed to inspire and unify Hoosiers by symbolically “pass the torch” connecting generations to IGNITE our future.

September 13, 2016:

Pike County: The torch will travel by foot, golf carts, and tractors and on this leg and end at the Daviess County bridge.

Daviess County: A mini train, horse and buggy and vintage cars are the modes of transportation.

Martin County: Walkers and runners will carry the torch by Jug Rock and Crane Naval Base.

Pike County: Vance Hays is the swing choir director and musical director.

Daviess County: Julie Bassler served in the Peace Corps aiding families in Albania and the Ukraine.

Martin County: Candace Roush has served as the Shoals Community Jr-Sr. School principal for 2 years before being selected as the Superintendent.
